Party Cakes for Children

With this book I tried to appeal to both the harassed mother who’s never had a go at cake decorating as well as the more experienced cake decorator who simply wants to produce something fun – quickly.
It has a longer introduction section than my first two books in which I try to answer a lot of frequently asked cake questions.
As well as icing and baking recipes – that include the fabulous tropical fruit cake - it deals in depth with what sugarpaste is and how to get the best out of it. There is a detailed section that deals with making models and a chart of facial expressions to help you give your figures character and personality.
It even tells you how you can use up bits of leftover cake with a delicious recipe for chocolate truffles!
I’d like to take this opportunity again to say a grateful thank you to my junior cake decorating helpers – Jemma, Belinda, Jack, Luke and Natalie who helped make cakes for the photographs for the book. It was a fun day…messy – very messy but fun!
